   Our ASL (Sign Language) Program Has Been With EK From The Beginning, 20 Years.  All Classrooms Are On The Same Theme At The Same Time. Children’s Academic Curriculum Includes ASL & Spanish. Each Classroom Will Learn Signs/Words Per Month, Starting With Family Signs (Mom, Dad, Sister, Brother), Need Signs (Milk, Food, Potty, Sleep), Then Onto Movement (Play, Sing, Climb), Feelings, Places, Transportation And Much More. Families With Children In Several Classes Will Be Able To Share Their Knowledge In Signs, Songs, And Spanish. This Creates Such Immense Self Esteem With Children, Building Great Family Bonding. The Older Children Gain Independence While Working With Their Younger Siblings And Those Siblings Will Glow Having That Support And Attention. The Cycle Of Learning.

     All HighReach Learning curriculum programs are based on the philosophy that children learn best through hands-on activities that address the needs of the whole child.  In addition, each HighReach Learning program reflects the belief that children need a balance of child-initiated and teacher-facilitated activities each day.  This approach reflects the beliefs of Jean Piaget, Erik Erikson, Lev Vygotsky, David Ausubel, and Jerome Bruner.  This approach is grounded in sound child development theory and appropriate practices.  Themes are used to introduce information and learning takes place as a child explores and manipulates real objects and events.  

     

 Sharon Mayberry, BS, M.Ed. and Kathy Kelley, BS founded HighReach Learning in 1986.  As owners and operators of their own child development centers, Ms. Mayberry and Ms. Kelley found that locating quality-teaching materials was quite a challenge.  To give their parents, teachers, and children the careful guidance and creative focus they were after, they knew they would need to write their own curriculum program.  And so the process began. Today, HighReach Learning is a direct supplier and creator of early childhood educational materials for children 3 months to 7 years of age.  We currently service customers in all fifty states in the US, as well as serve international customers in Canada, Germany, Mexico, Italy, Taiwan, Japan, and the Virgin Islands.  The HighReach Learning customer base includes public and private schools, Head Start programs, child development centers, family daycare providers, YMCA centers, church-based preschools and more.

The Learning Box Preschool program was developed by an experienced teacher to ensure that children would be introduced to necessary skills and concepts in pre-writing, pre-reading, math, science, social studies, music, creative arts, health, etc in a fun and enjoyable way.

The BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) is one of the most respected creators and producers of broadcast programming in the world. By virtue of its broad reach and excellent programming, the BBC's reputation as a teacher of language is unparalleled. Its most famous language program, Follow Me, (also known as BBC English), is the most popular language course for adults ever created. MUZZY, is similarly, the most popular language learning program ever created for children. MUZZY has been used in national curriculum (for example, in Canada and France), in forward-looking public and private schools from Thailand to Turkey and in homes from the U.S. and U.K. to Mexico and Japan. 

Here at Elite Kids Learning Academy, we have been using the Muzzy Spanish and French programs for more than 10 years now and our children have loved every part of the curriculum. Our Toddler classrooms start at the program and continue through Kindergarten.
