      Here at Elite Kids, we use many different parts of different Educational Programs. By using different programs, renewed resources, we are able to incorporate different ideas, and materials. 

      Our primary educational programs are the HighReach Learning Program and the Muzzy Early Advantage Progam. You will find information and links about both throughout our site.      

                     

    A NOTE FROM HIGHREACH-------------

    HighReach Learning Program           All HighReach Learning curriculum programs are based on the philosophy that children learn best through hands-on activities that address the needs of the whole child.  In addition, each HighReach Learning program reflects the belief that children need a balance of child-initiated and teacher-facilitated activities each day.  This approach reflects the beliefs of Jean Piaget, Erik Erikson, Lev Vygotsky, David Ausubel, and Jerome Bruner.  This approach is grounded in sound child development theory and appropriate practices.  Themes are used to introduce information and learning takes place as a child explores and manipulates real objects and events.  

     

 Sharon Mayberry, BS, M.Ed. and Kathy Kelley, BS founded HighReach Learning in 1986.  As owners and operators of their own child development centers, Ms. Mayberry and Ms. Kelley found that locating quality-teaching materials was quite a challenge.  To give their parents, teachers, and children the careful guidance and creative focus they were after, they knew they would need to write their own curriculum program.  And so the process began. Today, HighReach Learning is a direct supplier and creator of early childhood educational materials for children 3 months to 7 years of age.  We currently service customers in all fifty states in the US, as well as serve international customers in Canada, Germany, Mexico, Italy, Taiwan, Japan, and the Virgin Islands.  The HighReach Learning customer base includes public and private schools, Head Start programs, child development centers, family daycare providers, YMCA centers, church-based preschools and more.

About Early Advantage

Welcome to Early Advantage! We are an independent publishing company with a mission to bring the very best educational resources to children. To do this we seek, find or create high quality learning programs for young children in America and around the world.

The Early Advantage family of programs, such as MUZZY: the BBC Language Course for Children, focus on the inborn abilities of all young children to receive, process, and learn by leaps and bounds.

Through our programs, parents can realize their dreams of providing their children the early advantage of rich educational experiences in the early years of life. MUZZY, created by the British Broadcasting Corporation, has given millions of children, parents, and teachers, worldwide, an early start on a second language. Early Advantage is itself growing by leaps and bounds, as it looks to answer some of the educational needs of families with young children and seeks to find new and exciting ways to help children learn!

Created by the BBC, the acclaimed MUZZY language learning courses target your child's “window of opportunity” years to learn a second or even a third language. The BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) is one of the most respected creators and producers of broadcast programming in the world. By virtue of its broad reach and excellent programming, the BBC's reputation as a teacher of language is unparalleled. Its most famous language program, Follow Me, (also known as BBC English), is the most popular language course for adults ever created. MUZZY, is similarly, the most popular language learning program ever created for children. MUZZY has been used in national curriculum (for example, in Canada and France), in forward-looking public and private schools from Thailand to Turkey and in homes from the U.S. and U.K. to Mexico and Japan.

All Classrooms are on the same theme at the same time. Children also learn the same ASL, French and Spanish words together. Each classroom will learn between 3 to 10 signs/words per month, dependent on the age group.    Families with children in several classes will be able to share their knowledge in signs, songs, French and Spanish words.  This creates such great self esteem with children, builds a great family unit. The older children will gain self esteem and independence while working with the younger children and the younger ones will glow having that support and attention from their older siblings.  You will love it!
